Cables and lace intertwine to create a classic, elegant blanket. Deeply ribbed borders create the perfect frame for the cable pattern, which is charted. Choose a solid color to enhance the heirloom feel of this unisex blanket.
The blanket is worked flat in one piece in an Aran-weight yarn. The blanket is shown in the carriage blanket size and the pattern includes a larger lap throw size. To make an even larger blanket, add more horizontal repeats of the Cable Panel and work until the blanket is your desired length. For all sizes, to ensure that you have enough yarn, you may wish to (a) weigh your blanket after completing the bottom border and Lower Cable Panel; and (b) save a corresponding weight/yardage of yarn for the Upper Cable Panel and top border.
