The basic kids’ vest gets a fun upgrade with cables, zigzags, optional bobbles, and mood-lifting color! This vest is so easy to wear, thanks to the stretchy rolled edges that make getting dressed a breeze, and enough positive ease to move and play with a shirt worn underneath. The texture of the cables shows up best in a smooth yarn that has a solid or mostly solid colorway. Whether you choose a traditional neutral color that works with any child’s wardrobe or a bright and wild pop of color, this vest will provide a cozy, fanciful hug through three seasons of each year.
The body is knit in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. The front and back are each knit flat and then seamed at the shoulders. Stitches are picked up around each armhole and the neckband to work the armbands and neckband, respectively. There are 2 different options for the height of the armbands and neckband. And feel free to adjust the length of the body for growth spurts! The 4-6 year old size is shown with 1” of positive ease.
