Allspice Pullover

The Allspice Pullover, casual yet classic, is a thoughtful introduction to colorwork knitting. What appears to be a complicated houndstooth pattern is just slip stitch knitting, where only one color is worked at a time! You’ll find it hard to put this project down as you watch the pattern develop. The pullover also includes simple shaping to help you maintain the colorwork pattern while creating a garment you’ll love to wear.

The body is knit in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. The front and back are each knit flat and then seamed at the shoulders with the option for a visible seam detail. Stitches are picked up around each armhole to work the sleeves in the round down to the cuff.  The bottom hem, neckband, and sleeve cuffs include professional (and optional) tubular edges.

Choose a size that provides approximately 5-6” of positive ease in the chest. The houndstooth pattern in the body shows up best in solid or mostly solid colorways.
