These third-party providers generally collect, use and disclose your information only to the extent necessary to allow them to provide their relevant services. Pattern Purchases (the shopping cart) and Payment Processing
This is provided by Ravelry and you can read their privacy policy here.
I sell patterns on Ravelry, and their external shopping cart software also is implemented on this site. So I receive a copy of each download email that gets sent out after purchase – these emails are sent automatically by Ravelry and it is done so that sellers have proof of delivery. Ravelry stores your email address, which may be linked to your Ravelry account if you are a member, and I have access to this sales information.
All payments are processed through PayPal and you can read their privacy policy here.
When a pattern purchase is made from this site, I receive notification of the purchase via an additional, automatic email from Paypal. When I download my monthly sales data from PayPal for accounting, I do not download or store lists with sensitive data – I simply store the sales figures.
I only collect the transaction based data (i.e., name, address, and email address) necessary to complete your order. I never share these emails.
Blog Comments and Subscriptions
This website is built and hosted by WordPress. You can read their privacy policy here.
I receive an email whenever a comment is left on my site or whenever a new reader subscribes to my blog. I do not store these emails after responding to them, but WordPress stores them and the data that you provide when you subscribe (i.e your email address), so I have access to it. WordPress also shares with me basic analytical information to give me better insight about the usage of my site, such as page views, popular pages and which websites (i.e., which URLs) are sending viewers to my site. I do not receive personal information and I never share these emails.
Contact
When you contact me via this site, you need to give your name and email address so that I can respond. Once I have responded to your request, I delete the email unless there is a need to retain the email (i.e., an ongoing wholesale relationship). I never share these emails.
Cookies
Ravelry, PayPal, and WordPress all use cookies. For example, cookies help these websites to remember if you have commented on my site before or or have an item in your Ravelry cart. You can ask these can be deleted using your browser.
Other Sites
My patterns are also available from Loveknitting, Craftsy, and Patternfish. From each of these websites, I only receive statements of earnings; I do not receive any payment or order information.
